Explore police department operations and criminal investigations training |

Police citizens academy registration is now open in Buckeye, AZ, giving local residents a rare chance to experience the day-to-day world of law enforcement from the inside.
The upcoming program is designed to pull back the curtain on police department operations, blending engaging classroom sessions with practical, hands-on exercises.
Over eight weeks, attendees will dive into topics ranging from traffic enforcement to the complexities of criminal investigations training, even getting an up-close look at K9 units and SWAT procedures.
Classes will be held at the Buckeye Police Training Facility, a hub of activity not far from the city’s bustling growth corridors, where new housing and commercial developments seem to pop up every month.

How do u sign up for and participate in the community programs??
I just moved to Buckeye at the end of April, 2026 and want to find out how I can better support and participate in the community as this may be where I will live for the rest of my life. Our daughter, son in love and soon to be born first grandchild will also be living in a newly built house a short ten minute walk from our home where we live with my mother in love of 33 years, who is now 83 and been widowed since 2023 after being married for 65 years to her husband.
